I dont mean to crowbar politics into this but its almost as if something or someone who is a president is empowering these trolls to go and spread hate and vitriol on the internet. That particular hater is doing quite well so why wouldnt they follow suit?

See, this is what bugs me. I agree Trump is insulting, he’s a jerk, most def, but I don’t think democrats should get a pass just for being passive aggressive. They’ve been calling people racist, sexist, every kind of phobic for years, even when it’s unwarranted, and then when he’s a jerk they’re like, “why are you resorting to name calling?!” Don’t start no shit won’t be no shit. I’d love it if people were more respectful, but I’ve got no sympathy for this hypocrisy. Some of the worst comments come from the so-called “tolerant”. So, I see Trump as a symptom, not the disease. Maybe all this brashness will cause folks to rethink being jerks to each other? I specifically avoid most social media because even when you try to be calm and respectful people are still jerks and make huge assumptions about your character. Real life is much easier.
