When it comes to SSRI medications, what works for one person may not work for the next. It sometimes takes a few tries to find the medication that works best for you. While I can respect that Cat Zingano did not have a positive experience on the one medication she tried, a responsible prescriber would have informed her that to begin with, SSRI meds take 4-6 weeks to reach therapeutic levels. Secondly, sometimes it takes a few medications to find the one that works best for your body.
I like Joe Rogan, but I really feel he needs to stay in his lane here. While I always believe that psychiatric medication is a personal choice, it is a personal choice that have increased quality (and sometimes quantity!) of life for many people.
I just heard her say the meds took away her anger, desire to kill, and intense anxiety. Or am I tripping?
