Is this day one last chance to confess any sins? I am assuming that Jesus just wants to hear if you will be truthful with him even though be knows and sees all. My logic is that he hates lies. He can not tolerate slander and other kinds of lies either. Do yourself one huge favor on that fateful day and don't lie! The way I see it he could just send us to our destinies but instead the judgement seems to be a test. If Jesus already hears, knows and sees everything I don't really see a point in giving an account. Instead it would be more of a chance to be shown why you go to either destination. If you have pleased him he will show you that and hopefully send you to Heaven and not the Alighierian place of dread we know as Hell. Note that I say alighierian? It is my opinion that Dante is the one who gave us the image of Hell we probably imagine every time a preacher mentions that terrible place. The fact is there is no one there now and I am unimaginably skeptical of these people who claim to have gone there and came back. How do I know it isn't scripted? I don't! There is no real way of knowing.
