I had a friend that used to repeat over and over like a religious mantra: "I will not make my stomach a graveyard for dead animals." She couldn't understand how come her own brother objected to her outspoken chant.

The problem with non vegans is all of em don't want to talk about how they're torturing, raping, murdering billions, from the day they're born. Will talk about everything else but the fact that simply changing their menu can save lives.
