The search for truth in our knowledge of history is so very important.
wait, but just cos the rock was eroded doesn't mean the rock was carved out? The rock could've eroded from rainfall as Schoch says, but rock can be set with diamond for millions of years before we collect it, and water-eroded rock can be set for thousands of years before we begin to carve it? So…what's going on here? —– It would be very interesting however to imagine that a symbolic structure such as the Sphinx can retain our humanly capacity and faith through a dark age to where we can one day return to its splendour and reproduce its quality once more…like a mid 16th century renaissance which occurred thanks to our records of the Ancient Greeks…so it is wholly possible that the original is now over 10k years old…
This sounds random but what if water erosion is the right stipulation but say it's erosion which egyptians used themself through water to gain the required shape of their structures?…
