I think the biggest reason they won't look at the evidence is because it would mean they are wrong. No one likes to admit when they're wrong

The pyramids are middle earth mankind originated. The pyramids actually emerged from the ground. They were built from the inside out by the ppl who reside inside the earth. It’s sort of equivalent to us going to other planets. The ppl inside the earth are immortals but they are able to be hurt or even killed. (The earth doesn’t spin inside so time stands still) And so they built this massive structure in this form so that when they came out from the underground, they were able to be safe as they could see and look for threats in all directions at once and it was difficult for threats to get to them. They had to breed with the monkey because their eyes were incapable of seeing due to lack of sun inner earth.
Anyways, they voyaged to the outside (even tho they were told not to by the elders that they had overthrown) and they would constantly visit this new species of people they created and this new species depended on them for water, food, and guidance. However, one day when they inner earth ppl were mating with an ape it clawed his eyes out. After that their relationship changed. They stopped bringing the water and stopped showing up, only very rarely. They threatened the earth inhabitants with no more water or food. They killed ppl for having long fingernails and so the ppl were always in fear that their nails would be too long and so humans developed nail biting when nervous. Eventually they middle earth ppl became disgusted with the humans and they swept it all away with water for hundreds of miles. 10 years later the ancient Egyptians discovered the pyramids as someone from the old town told them legends from far away. It told them 10 years to find it. They thought they could summons the gods thru the pyramids but they were u successful.
history is sadly also tpday political it has to fit the narrative that our society is the pinacle of human achievement with technology, just like in the past you could not undermine the churches explanation of history for the sake of reason equally you can't undermine contemporary scientific agreements for the sake of reason.
