King Kong, Gemini 4, the ISS and the day the Earth stood still FYTube

Proof NASA has been using fish-eye lenses right from the beginning of the space program. This footage also shows a glaring difference between the motion of the Earth with Gemini 4 vs the ISS – even though both operate(d) at roughly the same speed and altitude.

  1. The medusa hair bothers me. Why is it always going up away from the head? Wouldn't the hair go in the opposite direction of travel and stay there until the next time the person moves? And why are these supposed smart women not braiding their hair or putting it in a pony tail? Hair does go up and away from the head in a freefall. But I think they claim no gravity. How is there a gravitational constant of the universe (big G) but no gravity in space? My head hurts just thinking about it. Granted I wasn't the brightest student in my physics class, but I do remember the professor saying they don't know what gravity is and they can't prove it. And that stupid errors and omissions book they made me read for lab made me doubt the accuracy of most the things they taught as fact because based on the book the error was too large. 30 years later and the ertor s book is still the splinter in my mind driving me mad. God was so good to me during my science indoctrination and always helped me see and remember this type of thing.

  2. The frame rate of the 16mm camera used to film Ed White during his EVA was 6fps, relatively slow when compared to what we're accustomed to at 24, 30, & 60 fps. So yea it would look "jerky" while the earth passing below would look smoother being that it's at a greater distance, like seeing a plane at altitude flying smoothly by, yet you wouldn't know it was being bounced around by turbulence. 6 fps was used to conserve film. And yes wide angle lenses are used. Though the lens Ed White had with him was a 50mm lens. There are also tons more footage from the ISS showing the ground passing by.

  3. Have you noticed that in this kind of category of YouTube videos you can't communicate anymore or react on other comments there's only a like button… that looks fishy to me.. they just dont want us to change real information that's why
