Joe needs to read Dr Bruce Greyson's book on NDEs: After. Chapter 9 deals with research on the biology of dying. It's been proven that neither chemical, biological or eletrical activity causes NDEs and that brain activity ceases completely 6 minutes after the heart stops. Nor are they wishful fantasies. This is the best book I've come across in the subject, providing well researched scientific data interspersed with various personal experiences of NDEs. I thoroughly recommend. Have read it twice as there's so much to digest. I wish I could remember it all.
