  1. “They’re censuring Mark Twain”

    “Who is?”

(Joe doesnt know, so he makes up an answer) “the publishers”

This is the uninformed thoughts Joe shares on his program to thousands of listeners. He doesn’t have the sense of responsibility nor the editorial staff to keep him from straying into conspiracy theories. He doesn’t have the budget or inclination to be factual, so he just shares half truths of whatever comes into his head.

“They are censuring…” in other words, the deep state.

Try reading up on Huck Finn and learning what’s really happening. But that takes effort. That takes a dedication to be professional. That takes time and money.

More profitable to just make up stuff and be controversial

  2. One of the big problems with our culture now is that nuance is lost. Context is important. Huck fin is an anti racist story and it uses the n word to really show the racism of the time.

We read the uncensored version in my high school, but kids weren't dropping the n bomb in class while we discussed it. Our teacher intentionally picked specific parts of the book that we would read aloud in class and she made sure that no one had to say it in front of everyone. We all got the point. That word was used a lot back then. But that doesn't mean that it's ok now.

We need to learn history so that we don't repeat it. And to all the right wingers that like to say that about confederate statues, a statue is a symbol of honor. The confederates do not deserve to be shown in a positive way by having statues that glorify them.

Leave huck fin uncensored and tear down the confederate statues.

  3. the story of huckleberry Finn was supposed to fend off racism in fact one of the famous lines in the book is: just because it was made right dont make it right huck!!and then at the end of it huckleberry and Jim were best friends and loved each other coming to a good resolution as a matter of fact jim is one of the non-fiction characters that he put in all his books who was a runaway slave that he would barbecue with.all of these 'woke people are known to make up stories and surprise surprise they had to make it relevant ,that just doesn't have to happen but no mark twain wasn't racist and huckleberry isn't racist he's a kid who knows not to judge and learns not to judge!!

  4. Huckleberry Finn isn’t racist; at the time it was written, it was, and still is, a story between the unlikely friendship between a white boy and a black man. It is a classic for a reason. It shouldn’t be changed one bit.
