It wasn't Satan that influenced the death of Christ. it was God himself who sacrificed his son for the sake of mankind. the preacher seems really spiritual though he missed the point. In fact Satan tried to save Jesus from death. He got into the heart of peter but Jesus rebuked him saying "go away satan." Satan didn't harden the hearts. God did.
