What if this wasn't meant so much as to punish a whistleblower, but to send a message to future whistle blowers "this is what can happen to you". I'm sure potential whistleblowers saw this and thought twice about saying anything. Strange on Joe to not pick up on something like that, and for him to just so blindly defend Weinstein is unusual.
