Obama was just generally a far more effective President than Trump. Not at all the soft-hearted guy he was portrayed as by conservative media.
Most of the time, he shut his mouth and did what he thought would solve a given problem.
Obama was tough on immigration, tougher than any other president. Even left-wing media criticized Obama for it. The problem is republicans are dishonest about Obama, they needed to brand Obama as "weak" so Obama's position on immigration just goes under the radar.
Saw a more recent vid clip of Obama warning ppl south of the border to stop sending unaccompanied kids to the border because they would not be let in. And Obama proceeded to deport more illegal immigrants than any other president, and it worked. Illegal border crossings were down to a trickle. Dems didn't think they needed their votes and didn't want too many illegal immigrants to stress out their social programs Then, Trump won the election. (Internal DNC memo declaring, "we need more illegals' votes or we're gonna keep losing" (trying to be fair, may not be exact quote, but, was the gist of the memo). From then on the Dems projected themselves as virtuous protectors of ppl who "just wanted a better life" and Trump as the evil oppresser. It was at this point (well, after California was declared a sanctuary state), I decided I wouldn't be voting for ANY democrats.
