Muay Thai is fundamental for striking!
Only then can the more complicated and advanced strikes of other traditional arts be successfully applied.
Imagine someone who trained jeet Kune do extremely proficiently in the modern day & fought in the UFC and prioritised knee kicks & counter attacks, would be interesting but devastating
It should be banned in my opinion, it has the same devestating effects a join lock could have but without the ability to tap out
it's quite insane how quick to judgement people are with flat out bans, it honestly is
if you don't want to have your knee damaged you probably don't wanna be standing like a boxer
the science of BJJ is on the sole notion of finding the weaknesses in the human body, thus leg locks heel hooks etc…
why is it different for striking? why am I not allowed to strike someone in the lower body? because their knee might break giving me the victory?
no offense some of the MMA community is flat out weetarded, they think emotionally not logically like firas the tristar science man
ban heel hooks, to say it should be illegal to strike someone in the knee it should be illegal to pull a submission that rips apart the knee
if you're going to say ban knee strikes but allow heel hooks then you're literally weetarded
idk, i personally don't like that kick, the damage that's done from that kick can affect how you fight forever, i want fighters to be able to be at their best, i dont want injuries like this that affect their training routine and leave us with less remarkable fighters all because some guy wanted to win a fight that way
