How can you answer the question while simultaneously circumventing the actual issue at hand. Like, no duh its a viable technique, so are soccer kicks, groin kicks, and eye gouges, but there's a reason why there are banned techniques: to avoid easily and permanently maiming your opponents.
This isn't the gladiators, these are professionals seeking to engage in a long lasting career for their joy and fulfillment, and for your entertainment.
Most non response of the year
Many consciously refuse to use the kick as they don't want to be on the receiving end of one themselves. Also they aren't looking to do permanent damage to another fighter while participating in a "sport". It's not a technique that takes a great deal of effort or skill, just like striking to the throat, groin, back of the head, etc….
I side kick to the knee is as blatantly violent as a 12 o clock to 6 elbow. So is a shot to the back of the head. It's illegal for a reason and this should be too
One of the favorites for street fights
When you stand square, you also more vulnerable to groin kicks, but we all know whats with those in ufc…
