If you think this makes God scary you should read what he did to pharaoh and his men in the Red Sea and even before that
The surface of the Earth is 510,000,000 cubic kilometres. You would need 4.590,000,000 cubic kilometres of water to cover Everest, (8,848m above sea level) and that is without taking into consideration that the Earth is a globe, so the actual amount would be about one third as much again. So you would need about 12 times the amount of water on Earth (513605233 cubic kilometres) to accomplish a global flood as described in Genesis. And before you say it, there is no where near that much water in the Earth's crust, mantle or core.
