Hebrew mythology. A catastrophic natural event in the middle east during prehistoric times – the flooding of the rivers Tiger and Euphrates – gave birth to the impossible story of the biblical global flood and Noah's Ark. Scientifically impossible and absurd, like nearly everything in the bible. Very entertaining though, as fairy tales usually are.
