Tithes and offerings was never money. Paul speaks about giving willingly. Dont confuse the bible with its truth
I Love that thankyou pastor
So what I want to know is where do we pay our tide too? If we don't belong to a church. I mean, tithe if we don't pay it to a church. Because I don't have a church. And I don't have a lot of money right now. I'm pretty low on funds and 10% of my earnings would be more than I can afford right now. So what I need to know is where do we pay our money too? For God, do we pay it to the homeless? Do we pay it to the needy if I am giving to the needy in my state. As that my tithe.
I visited a SDA church a few times and if passing the offering plate four times a meeting isn't a hint I don't know what one is !
As far as my household; the first thing we do is tithe, each month. We are both on Social Security, my wife is retired and I’m disabled. We use the First Fruits concept: We happily right off the top we give back to the Lord his ten percent. Then when the children come around with their little pails after their story telling time, and we are showing them the importance of giving our offering directly back to them. They know that this fund is used to pay for their church camp ⛺️ that we support every year. If the Lord tarries, they will be the future of our church. If the Lord doesn’t tarry, we still are showing them what faithfulness looks like.
A few years back I attended a Bible study with a friend of mine in our sub devision. In my class I stated exactly how we tithe to our home church. I could see the cog’s turning in one man’s face, sitting across from me. He joined in with the following. That could be thousands of dollars each year! He said we pay our rent, we buy our food at the store, make our car payment’s (2) we set aside weekend entertainment funds. Then we see what we have left. I was shocked when he said “ with what we have left, we give ten percent of that”. My reply to him was, God doesn’t need your tip, he wants your tithe. It’s in the Bible.
