Ari made a great point about how having success too early can hurt you in the future because you might not feel the need to work as hard. So true. I’m a comedian who has been doing stand up comedy since March 2015, and I’ve seen this with both men and women, but sometimes there seems to be more pressure on the women. Definitely take your time, work on your craft, and have fun in the process (be prepared for the ups and downs in that journey). However, try to stay humble because those individuals who are too cocky and think they’re so good don’t usually last later on when life disagrees with their beliefs and dreams.
Women aren’t funny
For women in comedy to be funny to me they cannot be annoying, small, skinny and petite.

Renee Hicks. I knew her from track and cross country. She was funny back then and then started doing standup. I went to one of her shows, so funny!
Women see not funny, they have no sense of complex humor. It is alien to them.
