EVEN TOUGHER FOR INDIAN KIDS IF YOU ARE FROM SUBURBS… frankly we don't even care cause there are better things to do then going to an IVY league. Happiness is more important than anything else and that's what matters the most. It comes in many ways/shapes. This is not how I would want to pursue it anyway… I can appreciate some diversity but the pendulum has swung a bit too too far. Better grads from non-IVY league these days when you see a larger picture and not the 1z-2z founders…
I don't think Asians doing better academically is a matter of race or genetics, it's about cultures that teach, emphasize, & appreciate academic excellence to a greater degree than many other cultures.. Basically parents that push their kids to study hard & excel in school; how can you fault them for that?
Lol i read somewhere that they are doig this for the sake of taking a "well rounded person" that is involved in public life too instead of only just staying at home preparing for the tests.. "well rounded person that doing everything". lol… so why not pubblic the criteria and the weight of each criteria? i can assure you that if they do, asian student will work their cv and present a "well rounded personality". No, they keep their "criteria" hidden, give you a oral test and by mysteriuos score points and personality they give green or red light. incidentally the asian get the red , the most time. sound fair to you or rigged?
