This is well known if you are Asian. That’s why stereotypes of Asians exist. We have to work so much harder to get the same social/economic status. Thereby, having to become absolute nerds just to compete. Many have found a way to juggle this, but it’s really really hard. Get rid of Affirmative Action. It’s inherently racist.
Asians overcome. Maybe in the end, Asians will stop applying to Harvard and apply somewhere else where they are wanted. That's usually what they do. They don't complain much, they find other alternatives and succeed somewhere else. Most times, the best solution isn't to complain, but to overcome.
Take this, Harvard won't be Harvard anymore if it continues to artificially select for few more decades
I think its more correlation than racism
I dunno about the way Rogan tackled this. He starts out by saying Asians are not protesting, but obviously the reason we are hearing about this is because Asians spoke out and protested. The fallacy of his argument represents how Asians and other minorities are viewed in the US. It's like this, when Asians speak out about discrimination going outside of the 'passive' stereotype, we're told once again the reason for the inequality is that 'passive' stereotype. The stereotype is used to justify the inequality even though it's the fact that we stepped outside of the stereotype that we're even aware of this problem and having this debate. Basically, you can't win.
