I’m now a licensed painting contractor…(hubby works w me too but I hold the lic) built my company for 25 yrs, we had a two year old when I got said license bc my assman boss in the construction company in worked for went belly up. First started out older men literally slammed door in my face when I’d show up to give bids or start the job.
Old boss paid the men WAY more than the chicks. Expected us to be homemakers in the office too. I busted my ass doing HR, mgt, w comp (even surveillance for guys on comp doing side jobs!) you NAME IT…boss made me do ALL kinds of grunt shit while he n the boys went for cocktails. He used to transfer the phones to my HOUSE when I was sick n couldn’t come in. Which was rare I would drag myself in. When I got pregnant I’d worked there a long time he was pissed. Rarely a raise, he DID implement ins for us which was a lifesaver I’ll give him that…Hired someone to take my “place” under the guise of helping me w workload. This was the 90’s peeps of youth they DID fuck us over.
B4 that I got fired (only time was let go!) in ‘91 bc i wouldn’t wash an asshole Atty’s lunch dishes. Yet I did everything around the men in office.
With my super chick cape, I can run my job sites, client relations, order materials, estimation, sling paint gallons up 30 ft to a roof, teeter on roof and oh had a 2nd kiddo and worked ON the job site while preggo till 5 months and I felt unsafe. Got respect from my fellow contractors now and can hang on any site just fine. I’ve ran to job sites, back to school for kids stuff, back to job sites to finish n back to school, shopped and had dinner ready. Then continued paperwork after that. I NEVER stop.
I never whined, bitched or moaned about anything just went TO WORK. Even w major spine crap now and autoimmune issues I have to go…

Just pay my ass for the job I’m doing correctly and don’t expect me to make ur damn supper!
There is no such thing as a pay gap not 1 job in America pays a women less because she is a women it's illegal there is not 1 example because it doesn't exist.
Nonsense arguments like this are why I've called the Delmcratic Psrty a domestic terrorist group. They destroy relationships between citizens based on absolute lies.
Funny thing about this is if a man went to work place that is mainly ran by women and the owner or administrator like where I work in a nursing home the women will get paid more. When I was a cna I trained brand new cnas that were female and they were getting paid more then me and I was working there for years. So these females wanna cry about the wage and that it should be equal but once they get in a position of power they will pay the women more then men. That's not equal.
Most importantly it's bad for economy, it will affect businesses and countries performance.
