I just left a "bullshit job" (agency nurse at a medical facility). They didn't have enough patients to justify the tremendous overstaffing they were doing. Some days I would literally sit and play on my phone for 10 hours straight. They loved me. They tried to hire me. I could see that this was unsustainable and that somewhere a bean counter would analyze the numbers and I'd be let go after a while – so I declined their offer. Because it's never the managements fault that they're firing you – you'll end up with some bullshit excuse as to how you were underperforming or something and now you have a stain on your work history as well as poor work habits. They were really nice people and the pay was great for the area, but that mathematical Titanic was headed for that iceberg and it was undeniable what the future held.
Definitely in a bullshit job working from home! I mostly get high and try to at least get one chore done a day. Pretty happy too!! In the past I worked in low level corporate management gigs, those are torture!! Factory and retail jobs are torture too!! All in their own special way. I am definitely a man living in quiet desperation!! Just can’t find that thing I’m passionate about or what song I’m supposed to sing!! I love getting high, before marriage I loved getting high and drunk and picking up girls!! I was an amazing wingman too!! I promise, legendary in the frat world. Unfortunately, it’s not a useful talent when you’re married and have kids. I’m high, I shared too much!!
