You can grow poppy Joe, but that should definitely stay illegal.
Strict regulations are necessary to keep the bud clean. The reasons why not everyone can grow now is because of the cost of operations. prices per lb can run as low as $500 for decent bud so you have to make a lot of weight to pay for the yearly expenses, the cost of the licenses to grow are expensive and being lucky enough to having a property that you can grow on, startup grow that 1st year costs are going to be close to $500,000.
Strict regulations on testing is necessary. In the past I had heard of people growing 100’s of lbs a year and inject the plants with rat poison as a pesticide, another used ornamental(not for consumption) pesticide on their plants. they don’t care that it hurts people they just want $ and it’s competitive with these massive farms putting out ten of thousands of lb’s a year.
Also some people are highly allergic to mold so it can be very dangerous , I smoke a moldy bud and my lungs constrict and fill up with fluid making it difficulty to breath.
People should be able to grow for personal, the smell is a problem though and growing inside a neighborhood can be an issue for some people.
To turn weed 18% just don’t trim leaves off
It’s all because big pharmaceutical company’s are loosing millions everyday and they want the money weed makes since it’s replacing there patch you up pills weed heals there man made drugs don’t and now we all know the truth they won’t let us win the right to do as we like there all about controlling it in some way or another at any means possible, it’s all about the money.
Check out the🇨🇦laws, especially in Quebec! It’s legalized with a ton of ridiculous regulations!! NO growing, no edibles, no smoking in apartments, can only purchase at government runed dispensaries with limited strains,these are just a few of the rules!! It’s just another huge cash grab for our corrupt government!!🔞🛑🚫
