  1. Look up the video of the similar incident. I don't see it as so much of a double standard anymore.
    a) It was a big guy, like he was bigger than her, she would last about 5 seconds in a fight
    b) See the girls, the first one patters in, peck, then out again. And the second one, slow approach, like you can see her coming a mile away. Then peck. Then out again, v nonthreatening body language. In the other video, the guy comes out of nowhere, like grabs her, with both hands either side of her, shakes her around for a bit… like he's a strong guy it would have been hard to move away.
    c) his hand went on her boob. I feel like that's difference enough to push it over into sexual assault.

Furthermore, there are loads of videos of guys kissing reporters and girls kissing reporters and vice versa, received both positively and negatively, so yes guys CAN get away with it too. A peck on the cheek alone has never been enough to decry sexual assault, it's normally other factors that indicate more of a threat.

  2. I don't think the big deal is that the man was "severely harmed" or "raped". But they're just shining light on the obvious double standard if the roles were reversed. People overreacting to show how ridiculous other people overreacting are. Why can't no one just overreact? Why can't Tim Hortons sell their poutine during breakfast too?
