Much like every other case of someone who "just quits", there's always more to it. If you're an addict? You don't have control. That's what addiction is. Typically only people with their own addiction and denial issues have any problem understanding the point.

But as Greg said himself, he was involved in meetings, did extensive therapy, still attends regularly, and still gets therapy. You CAN'T do it alone, logically speaking, it's impossible. If addiction is being out of control and having an unmanageable, chaotic life, obviously you can't just, stop that. You have to work with it, and you need support and help to do so. And nobody "just quits". It's a giant life change, if nothing else, but realistically? Going into recovery is the hardest thing anyone will do in their lives, if they're an addict.

Also, weed addiction absolutely is real, you can get the shakes, and more than anything, people saying, ohh, broooo, it's juuuusst weed, stop being, like, dramaaatic, is the main issue. If you minimize an addiction, you set back the person, but more than that, you shine a light on yourself. Belief that an addictive substance isn't addictive only says what your mindset is, and it's not good. Just look at the people whose lives have been ruined by weed. Typically it's the costs so famous people can be fucked up for longer without it hitting them, but beyond anything, it's not the natural state, you didn't stick a joint in your mouth as a baby, you stuck a titty in there. Seek the natural state.
