If all drugs were legalized, we could get away from the war in Afghanistan, and if we move quickly, we could corner the market in marijuana and it's derivatives. Allow people to be treated for opioid addiction with cannabis, and tax the bejeezus out of all recreational drugs, much the same as is already done with alcohol. This is a dormant multi-trillion dollar economy just sitting there unexploited.
but can't you still overdose on shrooms?
Robot butlers, legal drugs and replicators. That's what the human race needs in the future.
Maybe people could have a choice; they can have access to any drug they want but have to be sterilised first.
People know the risks and if made legal the hope is that we can get more information and I'm willing to bet the overdose rate drops significantly and if you do you knew the risks just like drinking and cigarettes.
