Sign up with a union and they’ll teach you a trade and pay you as you are working and learning . They pay you more as you learn. When you become a journeyman at that trade you can be making 100,000 a year.
Unskilled labour is sometimes as vital as skilled labour…bin men…meat Packers.. labourer……not assigned jobs … necessary jobs that shouldn't have to subsidised by the tax payer due to poverty pay….job is not a job worth saving if or needs state subsidy so there's the free market you claim you want
This whole idea is simply not true. When the maximum wage was set back the 50s if I'm not mistaken, the working class was in it's golden era. Minimum wage only destroys jobs because many CEOs and Entrepreneurs try to have the highest possible income with the most minimal amount of money lost from paying workers, shipping, etc… Aka this comes down to greed. Not saying people can't be millionaires or even billionaires. But people shouldn't be killing themselves working 2 jobs everyday just to barely get by. And Jeff Bezos shouldn't be blowing 500 million dollars on a yacht instead of paying his workers anything above $15 an hour. And if you think Jeff Bezos deserves to whatever he wants with his money, just remember he wouldn't be shit without his employees, coworkers, hell even his wife contributed to Amazon becoming successful.
