James gunn is god
The internet used to be where you could say things that pop into your head, but might not say out loud in polite company. You could be a more openly authentic version of yourself. It was cathartic.
Now, it is the complete opposite. We are censored by proxy online via cancel culture and must self-censor to avoid it.
Anyone who readily identifies themselves on Twitter, or who accepts friend requests from people they work with who might not be loyal on Facebook, or posts publicly on there, or comments in public groups on anthing controversial is an idiot.
There is little value in anonymous platforms like Reddit where subs that progressives target are de-platformed, users get life banned from subs over some minor infraction etc…
The value of these platforms is in their scale – they bascially took over from old style discussion forums because you didn't need to sign up 20 times to get logins and set 20 favourites to participate in discussions about 20 things that interest you – but those old forums built communities that TRULY were communtites and where the IP was controlled by the mods.
The internet is absolute trash now, a California woke tech takeover.
