Lmao so you’re discrediting her because she has “mental illnesses”? As if the relationship wasn’t the thing that could have made her mental condition worse? Abuse is not something you just forget about like the neighborhood you grew up in as a kid. Plus she spoke about something that took place not that long ago.

Even if we had a machine that reads memories, they would still be subjective. It's not like brains store a perfect recollection and then our conscious selves deviate from it – our recollection is permanently tainted and flawed by our subjective narrative. SO sure, we would know when someone is lying, but we would not know for sure if someone's memory of an event is identical to the event itself.
