Religion can be interpreted in so many ways, that the meaning is just pointless at this point.
The eye of the needle thing? Anything is possible with god but being rich definitely makes it more difficult to enter into heaven. Why? Because you're more likely to choose your wealth over following god. Having wealth isn't sin but it often holds you back. This is explained in the parable.
