His Dad was such a huge, domineering, abusive ahole. HUGE. No wonder he only does a movie a decade now, and only if he really likes it never for the money, and he had to sue his Dad for all his money and he divorced his parents. Poor kid. Everyone thinks he has everything and he’s so lucky, but when I look at him I see a kid whose own parents broke his heart, made him and his siblings be bread winners (at extremely young ages too, less than double digits) for their out of work, no career, no talent asses, his father who couldn’t make it as an actor living out his hopes and dreams vicariously through his young son, tried to hide his assets from him and had six, SIX, kids who all lived in a one bedroom apartment, and deprived him of the most precious thing in all of life: putting your child first with unwavering, and healthy, unconditional love and protection, and having a parent you can always trust and depend on. But as a women who gained emancipation from her own parents at age 16, I can relate in a way a lot of people can’t. The fact that he seems to have made peace with it all and is not a raging bastard is a testament to his own good heart and conscious choice, not his parents’ upbringing and lack thereof.
