Yeah for I find the Olympics boring in overrated now it's all just like a bunch of highly strung athletes wanting to be the first for this metal in which only means something to a tiny minority anyway so
I absolutely love video games and really cannot seem to like any sport at all. Video games have defined me throughout the years and they definitely qualify as solid, artful and sometimes even challenging entertainment. But the Olympics is more than a competition, indescribably so. Go and watch Leni Riefenstahl's movie "Olympia" as a reference. Some scenes in that movie are just so beautiful and awe-inspiring that I cannot put it to words. And I cannot imagine how dissapointed I would be if in ahead of seeing people shooting the discus or javelin, it would be someone firing a virtual rifle or steering some virtual wheel. This is quite all over the place but bottom line is this, watch that movie, and try to picture it with game's instead of actual athletes, all the magic will be gone.

Ok boomer
Video games should be in the olympics so that they can stop the gamer oppression

I like how the game that actually ended up in the Olympic event (Rocket League) isn't even slightly violent.
