Hey I grew up in south Carolina district 2 and my statement is not pointed at all teachers. I know alot are good but let's be clear their are some dumb, racist. Ignorant, and lazy ass teachers in some districts. So I can honestly say federal government oversite is good in limited amounts beacuase I love parts of my own community but the parts that are localized and in charge o my education and I am referring to teachers and administrators would do some pre civil rights or pre scopes monkey trial bullshit the second the federal government had no control over them. People need to realize some communities are so broken from the inside that it is going to require some outside help. I agree that working from the community is the key but until we build strong communities this plan will screw so many kids who just happen to live in the wrong communities.
Joe seems to have some off days, this is definitely one of them.
