My daughter went to private school. 100 percent parent funded. Her high school migrated to a college preparatory form. 1-2 hour blocks per semester, different hours each day, homework, labs to complete on their own. She changed courses every semester, not yearly and moved on to the next. She got a full ride to state university and flourishes. Give teachers and students more autonomy. I agree about trade school. Bring back shop and cosmetology. Add electrical and HVAC in high school with apprenticeship and work study hours with local businesses. The kids get paid and learn their trade. By 30, they can start their on businesses.
