1. My Faith in Jesus Christ is my rock and my foundation. Throughout my life, I've came face to face with death several times because of medical problems and if it wasn't for the Lord, I would not be here today. I know he wants me here for a reason, and for me to be used by God and his glory.

   I almost died at child birth but I survived, when I was a child I was in a bicycle accident where i flipped over the handle bars and I landed on my head and the handle bars impaled into my stomach- the Doctor didn't expect me to survive the night and even prayed over my bed side and I survived. In my 20's I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation type 1 with Syringomyelia and my first brain surgery for it was an emergency surgery, there was a complication during the first surgery because of my small jaw, the intubation tube kept herniating and causing me to suffocate; the anesthesiologist was an athiest and was the only person in the operation room that heard a voice over and over again to look down to check the intubation tube and noticed the tube kept herniating and was able to fix the problem and I survived, and the anesthesiologist was the only person that heard the voice to look down.

   I also survived having sepsis 5 times and one of the times I had septic shock and I had a 107 degree temperature and I survived; one of the times I had sepsis I had meningitis at the same time and I survived.

   I was a victim of a hit and run car accident 3 years ago and it caused me to have a massive stroke, causing my whole left side of my body to be paralyzed, a year after the stroke on Easter Sunday, I began to have some feeling back and regained some function back to the point I can walk short distances with a cane, my doctors thought that my left side would of been permanently paralyzed, but the Lord proved them wrong.

   I have been through an enormous amounts of challenges and difficulties in my life-and medically speaking with all that I been through, I should be dead but the only reason why I'm still alive is because of all the miracles the Lord has performed in me- and I'm only 32 years old.

   People that learn of my story that I tell normally becomes speechless, and the normal reaction is "how terrible, how did I manage, and how unlucky I was". I tell them that it's my Faith in God that gets me through, and because of the gift of eternal Life from Jesus Christs' sacrifice on the cross, I no longer fear death because I will have eternal life with a glorified body waiting for me. I also don't think of myself as "unlucky" either, despite all the horrible things that i have been through, I have been more blessed.

   When I pray every night before bed, i thank God for all my blessings that I been blessed with, and I even thank him about the bad things aswell- even though the bad things have been difficult and not pleasant- but that is when I learn just how more important my Faith in Jesus Christ is, and helps me grow and understand and helps molds me into the person that I am today.

   I know without a doubt that God wants me to be used as a testimony for him because of the fact of how I'm still alive today, even though I have a speech impediment because of my Chiari malformation and my stroke, I know that there are still ways to be used and that my speech impediment is only a small bump in the road, but I have Faith God will help me with that aswell.

   I tried as much as I could to condense my comment from being so long, I'm having my sister set up a website blog for me and I'm writing way more in-depth of everything I been through that I mentioned aswell as what I gone through emotionally.

   Throughout my life, my Faith in God is without a doubt the most important aspect of my life and one of my favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.'
