People always make the mistake of thinking Buster was seriously hurt; he wasn`t. He was stunned but had all his fighting awareness intact. He touches his nose as he falls; his head does NOT hit the canvass and he hits the canvass in frustration…..a sign that he is clear minded. Buster then does what any good pro would do, which is watch the ref, use the full 8 seconds and then rise. There was NO long count, No controversy. Douglas was ALWAYS going to beat the count.
Douglas could have easily gotten up at 8. He took what the ref gave him. Mikes count was not quicker. Mike was out on his feet. Buster beat him fair and square.
