  1. It really just comes down to eating a little bit better until you find a realistic, healthy diet that you can stick to. Not going on a crash diet. People make it a lot harder than it needs to be.

Plus, it's very hard to know exactly how many calories you burn on one day vs another day. Don't rely too heavily on calorie trackers. Want to know how much you should eat in a day? Eat whole natural foods as often as possible. Our appetite is closely related to our energy output. If you increase your energy expenditure, your appetite will likely increase as well. However, highly processed foods are engineered to be too good to put down. They overpower our normal satiation mechanisms, and we over-eat. Ever feel hungry but not for chicken and potatoes? That's because the bullshit food you do want doesn't satisfy that hunger, and you can eat it even when you aren't actually hungry. You're addicted to the manufacturers products. It's not real food!
