A REAL shaman is generally akin to the area's, the tribe's, the community's: Healer/doctor, psychologist/therapist, philosopher king, the Priest/monk/pastor/zen master AND they're model father/husbands as well as great workers. I've been studying this for 40+ years like health, nutrition, supplements, Ayurveda, Chinese medicine whereby I cured my own Hep C & have 2 MD's who will verify that. I have plenty of character defects, yet as an autodidact, I've been able to help myself & others & have amassed a body of knowledge that has depth & weight. But so far to go & still so much to know, just made a beginning in many ways. Joe & many of his guests have helped so much & his friend Bill is f-n hilarious; Joe is pretty diversified himself.

Joe continuously gets the Moses/acacia connection story wrong. Moses wasn't given the tablets at the time of the burning bush. The burning bush happens before the Exodus from Egypt, which occurred before they base camped at Mt. Sainai. Makes sense, Moses is tripping sack, hears the voice of God to go save his people. It was inner turmoil, the guilt the psychedelic made him face, which stemmed from leaving his own people behind to toil under a tyrant as he lived free. (We know psychedelics make you face things you've shoved down into your subconscious. It's my belief that the fighting of facing whatever feelings the psychedelic unearths is what helps create bad trips and the reverse situation that leaves the user feeling fulfilled and almost reborn or an epiphanic experience)
