The point about stimulants and ADHD is that it stimulates the parts of the frontal lobe that is responsible for focus and impulsivity, which are underdevelopped in ADHD's brains. While for neurotypical the energy boost would usually just overdrive their brain and potentially make them more vulnerable to distractions and more hyperactive, for ADD and ADHD brain it will actually gives them the lacking stimulation of that region of the brain that will allow them to control their impulsivity and their focus much better.
Usually, when my meds fade down, if i'm still energetic, that will be the moment of the day when i actually look like someone normal boosted on amphetamines
