This is only partially relevant but I was just thinking about how rogan feels when hes talking about giant, powerful animals. Hes always just in shock and disbelief at the sheer thought of something being able to easily overpower him bc in his daily life, thats just not a thing. He could take down 99% of humanity so the only time he has these scary, mortal thoughts are when it comes to things like lions or bears. As a small woman, this is just something we live with and accept in daily life lol hes always like "Imagine something so big and strong just coming at you" when thats what a lot of women are imagining, dealing with and trying to avoid constantly lol i feel like as a woman, im desensitized to the power or terror of something like a lion bc its just like "yeah, what else is new…most things could kill me, as usual." Im far more scared of running into a lone man in the woods than a bear lol
A buddy of mine in the early 90s had a pet cougar. Had it for years with no issues until one day the cougar had his mouth wrapped around my buddies head. He didn't have a pet cougar anymore after that. He took it to a sanctuary and never had a big cat again
I just moved to a rural town in South Central Pennsylvania. I was on my sister’s porch in the middle of the night and I saw this cat. It was at least 5.5-6 feet from tip of nose to tip of tail. Jet black and at least 2ft at the shoulder. Never saw a cat that big ever. It didn’t seem to care about me, like it knew I wasn’t a threat. It looked at me and walked away!
