I had a great father and mother. I just picked a not so great mother for my kids. I’ve been the mother and father for my kids. She has a relationship with them but I don’t even know if it’s a good thing or not. She has been in and out of their lives so much. I never remarried. My boys we little and the one relationship I was sort of serious about my oldest didn’t take to well. I missed out but I never felt like I needed anything more because of the love Joe is talking about. Now that they’re growing up some is the first time I have thought about it much. I don’t want to end up the lonely old man when they’re grown and gone, but it is what it is at this point I am not looking.
This is probably the best video I have watched with Joe, same situation no dad, single mom always working. For me it was sports and video games that built me, those activities felt like my home and familiy. Unfortunately I never connected with people or found a niche, but now I m a dad and i have a very strong bond with my kid no doubt!

Listening to other men speaking on this topic makes me appreciate my father that much more. Fathers are vital to children’s development.
