Not having a father sucks. No matter what you tell yourself or what anyone else says to try to make you feel better, it always lurks in your subconscious. You always feel like the kid who wonders what they did wrong, why you weren't worthy, even when your conscious mind knows better.
It’s one thing if the father leaves on his own, it’s another thing if the mother estranges the father from the child.
