Such an odd experience to watch these episodes for the first time in 2020. Its crazy how are perspective has changed so drastically over the last year. Looking back over the last decade is pretty crazy.

Consider that 3 or 4 meters of sea level rise submerges every coastal city worldwide.
Do you suppose that humanity will band together to decommission every landfill, toxic waste dump, gas station, plastic factory, oil rig, bioweapon black site, Walmart, and truck stop whilst fleeing for higher ground?
So take all that and throw it into the oceans. Oceans already strained by centuries of overfishing, acidification and pollution.
Do you suppose that phytoplankton will survive unscathed? Phytoplankton accounts for the lion's share of oxygen on the planet with the amazon a distant second.
If the oceans die so does everything that breathes oxygen.
