Whereas I do suspect most mediums, and specially the TV ones, I keep my mind opened to everything and anything _because guess what? I'm not a donkey with splints! I'm a human being, embowed with basic critical thinking, and critical thinkers are able to reach the bounds of premise and possibility. Ruse or not, at least a lot of these mediums are pretty great psychologists and do indeed help the people who go to them get healing and comfort, again: ruse or not. This guy, on the other hand, really doesn't strike me as someone who is as an authority on anything else other than what he does, which is magic tricks. So there! Never mind that until only a few decades ago HIS OWN class was getting ridiculed. Oh but bow everybody, for he's white, he's male, and he's an anglophone _so the simpletons who also idolise the other white, anglophone male on the table (just because he knows how to ask a few questions – Rogan) view him as an authority; when in fact most of us probably know way more than he does about most things, simply by shear fact that while he was busy rolling dice and shuffle bridging playing cards, we actually went to school! But alas, ignorance IS usually arrogant, and it does usually still come in the form of a white, anglo male. That is, I'm afraid and very much unfortunately, still our world. Whoops, sorry for spitting these arrowing facts. How there I?!
Derren Brown would have known straight away the Joe hadn’t done hardly any research on Derren’s work for this interview. However I felt Derren came across a tiny bit ‘too prepared’.
