It is real though. Maybe not that guy. But they are real. I went to one myself as a skeptic. I gave them only my first name. Nothing else. I went in in a hat and covid mask so they couldnt really see my face……and what she told me was amazing. No way she could know about any of these things that where true. No way. Ima a private person anyway and she said some really mad things. Im not even religious. Not trying to convert anyone here. But just saying from someone who wanted hope and to know that this life is not just IT that all this is true. From my experience.

Rather, they see what they do as an art. The peculiarity of this art is that it involves deception for it to work at all, but many readers consider that they're performing a service, colluding with their sitters in a kind of game in which they instil hope and confidence. It is of course completely immoral to claim to speak to the dead, but practised as a form of harmless entertainment it's absolutely fascinating, especially if no money changes hands.
