When I die can I take my cell phone with me?
Lifes memorable moments of pain, suffering and personal struggle should open ones eyes to become empathic to what's important in this mundane plane of existence well before death should.
I go to liveleaks and watch dead bodies all the time. It's quite fascinating to me seeing dead bodies after car accident or people who are burning alive.
I'm not a cop so I've never in my life got to see someone dying in front of me in a vicious manner such as car accidents or fires.
It's actually pretty crazy when you see it on liveleaks. Helpless bodies with guts sticking out.
We've spent so long subverting nature to our cause, it's hard not to attempt to add death to that list. But maybe it's a dragon that can be slain, maybe our disconnection from death could spur us to end it once and for all and add it to humanity's list of defeated enemies?
Death doesn't give life meaning. It just adds urgency.
