I live near Liverpool and worked next door to where Paul was born. The customer had lived there all her life, she used to date Paul, showed me photographs of them and all the band in Paul’s bedrooms. Amazing stories, she said Lennon hated Pete Best, couldn’t wait to kick him out the band, Lennon didn’t like that he got all the attention from the girls. There is actually a street named after Pete Best, new housing estate in Halewood (Liverpool).
It was 1964. It was soooo new and different and amazing at the time. It just happened. Never happened before and won’t happen again. Also what was amazing about them is that they were writing there own tunes.
