C'mon Joe. it was Hamburg! Reeperbahn in Saint Pauli district of Hamburg. Quite seedy at that time. Too bad you didn't live it. It was fantastic. Everything changed that night in February on the Ed Sullivan show. First time in the USA after their N°1 hit in USA I want to hold your hand nothing was ever the same.
It was George Martin who said that Pete Best's drumming couldn't keep the timing of the band. He even offered to get a session drummer for the recordings and the rest is history.
I'm 65 now & remember seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan show & it was wild…I knew what i wanted to be from that moment on & I'm still trying..LOL. They were & still are the SHIT.

Joe’s right it’s hamburg. This is painful to watch as a mega fan haha. Joe appreciates their historic impact though.

Rock-'n'-roll was dead in America when the Beatles came. America's rockers were touring Europe at that time.
