Professor Brian Cox is an English physicist and Professor of Particle Physics in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester in the UK. His BBC science comedy show/podcast “Infinite Monkey Cage” with comedian Robin Ince will be touring the US during the spring of 2015.

Something that is always on my mind, when I hear scientists talking about the time taken to grow a civilisation, that is never addressed, is the the relativistic effects: For other planets, might the universe be older or younger according to the gravity well, and/or their orbital speed, thus allowing more or less time for evolution of life to occur. Or, would all observers measure the same age of the universe regardless of relativistic effects.
When Michael Faraday discovered the law of electromagnetic induction, he was asked by an important government official what use his research was. Faraday replied "I don't know, but what I do know is that you'll find a way to tax it"
I agree that brains have to think. I've been procrastinating this weekend but my brain feels like it's slowly disintegrating into a gooey yucky puddle, and only a challenging revision session can restore its health. I'm trying to trick my brain by watching Brian Cox and Rogan, but my brain has cottoned on to my youtube binging habits.
