Boxers like James Toney are dumb!!! Common sense boxing is just punching while MMA is boxing, kicking, knee, elbow, chock, armbar and what I mentioned is just a few. Jezz!!! when will MMA vs. boxing will ever end realizing that MMA is far better than boxing!!!
I remember that fight. Couture was smart & coward at the same time. Smart in it that he took Toney right away to the ground, coward in that he literally didnt even try to change blows with him, he took him straight to the ground and that was it. When a boxer steps into octagon with skilled mma fighter, you owe it to yourself and to him that you atleast allow him to try striking. Plus you owe it to yourself. You didnt have balls to take even one punch from him… you can allways try to beat him in his own game and if that dont work out well, then by all means take him to the ground and lock/choke him out.
